Transformational Breath® was developed by Dr Judith Kravitz. Incorporating her knowledge of conscious breathing techniques and various other healing and spiritual principles, Transformational Breath® is a highly efficient and effective technique that has been used and found beneficial by many thousands of people world-wide for over thirty years.
Transformational Breath® is taught as a powerful self-help tool to give each person an understanding of how they can work with their own breath on an ongoing basis, to create personal transformation. It can be used to great effect either on its own, or in combination with other types of therapy/treatment.
1 to 1 sessions Your first session will typically will last for around 90-120 minutes, and will include a few questions regarding your medical history and personal circumstances, an explanation of the technique and a look at your normal breath pattern. This is followed by a breath session usually lasting between 45 minutes and one hour where the facilitator will invite you to focus on what you would like to gain from the session. This could be learning to improve your breathing, letting go of unwanted emotions or simply to feel calmer.

Our lives depend on our breathing, the movement we create within our bodies and the constant exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide.
If our breathing becomes restricted we may limit the effectiveness of this process and this may show up in physical illness, general lack of energy, or feeling emotionally drained. Indeed restricted breathing can be caused by emotional upset. We hold our breath to prevent ourselves being overwhelmed by our feelings and when this becomes habitual we lose the ability to breathe deeply and connect to our bodies and ourselves.
Transformational Breath® encourages a full diaphragmatic breath. This massages all the organs that come into contact with, or are affected by, the movement of the diaphragm, thus aiding good circulation. Our Facilitators are trained to observe the breath and see physically where the breath is being held. They will then use simple techniques including adjusting the position of the body, gentle hands-on pressure, sound and positive affirmations to help the breath to open up and flow more freely. This, coupled to a specific breath pattern, can clear negativity in the sub-conscious mind and help us to feel lighter, happier and more peaceful.
With practice, as recommended by your facilitator, the breath will begin to flow more freely at all times and commonly people report better health, mental clarity, emotional freedom and resilience. It’s simple to learn and suitable for people of all ages, from newborn to old age. Once learned, you’ll use this technique for yourself as a lifelong tool.

All sessions are about 90 minutes long (please don’t plan another appointment back to back with this though, as it’s possible we may need more time), and please arrive 10 minutes early.
It’s a good idea to eat lightly if eating before breathing, and to wear loose comfortable clothing (leggings for women is ideal – best not to wear jeans with buttons around the navel)
